The Tavakoli Historical House in Mashhad is one of the historical, spectacular and beautiful houses from the Qajar period, which belonged to the merchant Kashmishian, who was purchased by Tavakoli.

History:
The Tavakoli Historical House in Mashhad was built by a person named Ehsan Khan Qaraei in 1221.
During the Qajar period, it was known as the Kashmishian House.
Kashmishian was a merchant of his time, and after his death, this house was purchased by Tavakoli.
Since then, it has been known as the Tavakoli House.
It is interesting to know that many people call this house the “House of the Goblins”.
Because the Tavakoli House has been empty for a long time, they say that it has become a place for the jinn to come and go.

Architecture:
There are two tiled inscriptions on the entrance door, which read: “Indeed, We have opened a clear opening for You” and “And if You will, We will make a clear opening.”
The courtyard of the house has a beautiful turquoise pond located in the garden.
The rooms of the house are all made of wood.
This house has two floors and five high columns that were built to support the weight of the roof and control the weight of the building itself.
The use of stairs was also a prominent and characteristic element of Qajar architecture, which became popular in imitation of European architecture.
There are very beautiful tiles in the Tavakoli House, which are a sign of the art and taste of Iranian architects in ancient times.
The use of these beautiful and eye-catching tiles is another characteristic of the Qajar era.
With different colors and patterns of flowers and birds and the use of Islamic motifs, they have given this house a luxurious beauty.
Inside the house, there are wax statues representing people studying in the school.
This historical and beautiful house is still standing after two centuries.
The name of this building was registered in the list of national cultural heritage by the General Administration of Cultural Heritage in 2005.
