Old Ramsar Hotel

The Old Ramsar Hotel, which is about 80 years old, has a very beautiful architecture that always attracts many tourists.

Introduction:
The infrastructure of the Old Ramsar Hotel was prepared in 1928 by German engineers.

In 1932, at the same time as the construction of the Kandovan Road, the construction of the hotel also began and was put into operation in 1938.
At the beginning of its activity, it was known as the Pahlavi Foundation Hotel, but after the Islamic Revolution, its name was changed to the Old Hotel.
Today, this hotel belongs to the Mostazazan Foundation and is still used as a residence.
This hotel has hosted important events and personalities.
The most important of them is the Allied meeting in World War II.
This hotel has also been the location for series such as Hezardastan, Rozagar Qarib, Kar-Agha Alavi, and Khat Ghemr.
A peace symbol is located in the back yard of the hotel, where 40 representatives from 40 countries have installed their friendship symbol while staying at this hotel.
Next to this hotel, a building with a new and different architecture has been built that provides tourism services.

Facilities:
The old hotel was considered one of the most famous hotels in the Middle East in its time in terms of equipment and facilities.
The hotel has a basement that has recently been used as a traditional dining room.
There is also a walkway from the hotel to the beach, parallel to the hotel axis.
A hot spring is also located near the hotel, which has therapeutic uses.
Other facilities of this hotel include a restaurant, coffee shop, outdoor pool, park, sports field, children’s playground, etc.

Architecture:
The infrastructure of this hotel is 5,000 square meters and its building is built on three floors.
Due to Shah Pahlavi’s fascination with European art and civilization, the architecture of this hotel was designed according to the taste of European architects.
So that the interior design of the hotel was done by English architects and the landscaping was done by Italian architects.
The interior of the hotel:
The first floor is dedicated to the hotel lobby and the guests’ resting area.
The second floor includes the restaurant and reception hall.
And the third floor contains the meeting hall and hotel rooms.
The hotel building has a total of 25 rooms and 5 suites.
The hotel entrance is made of teak and concrete, which has a stunning beauty.
Its main entrance is from the north, and its staircase is decorated with statues of Rostam and Sohrab, torch-bearing girls, decorative vases, and roaring lions.
Two reliefs, including a man fighting a lion and a cow, are also visible on both sides of the hotel’s overhead view.
The entrance to each floor is decorated with crescent arches and plaster columns, and the ceilings are decorated with sun and peacock stucco.
It is interesting to know that no iron was used in the construction of this hotel, and all materials are made of brick, cement, and concrete.
Hotel exterior:
In designing the exterior, Italian architects were inspired by the extraordinary nature of Ramsar and created a beautiful green space.
The Musafai Garden is located in the south of the hotel, which is beautifully landscaped and decorated with flowers.
Special places have also been set up for guests to relax and receive them.
On the northern side of the hotel, there is a garden 2 kilometers away, which has a straight boulevard that connects the mountain to the sea.
This garden is decorated with sculptures, lights, and ponds that are influenced by modern European urban spaces.
Next to the hotel, four large villas were intended to accommodate high-ranking national guests and four small villas for the hotel’s caretakers and staff.
