The brick minaret is an ancient monument in the city of Khorramabad, which is 900 years old.

Introduction:
The brick minaret of Khorramabad is located in the Ghazi Abad neighborhood and in the old city of Shapur Khast.
This building dates back to the fourth century AH and the period of the Daylamids (Al-Buyyeh).
Minaret means a place of light and is used for tall and elongated buildings and is built in cylindrical, conical and polygonal shapes.
This minaret was built with the aim of guiding caravans that came to the old city of Shapur Khast.
Also, watchmen saw enemies from the top of this minaret and informed people of their attack.
Currently, by climbing 99 steps, we reach the roof of the building and a beautiful view of the city will be visible.
This building has been registered in the list of national monuments of Iran.

Architecture:
The cylindrical body of the minaret, 30 meters high, is placed on a stone base in the shape of a square cube.
Of course, the height of the minaret used to be higher, but due to natural factors, this height has been reduced to 30 meters.
The diameter of the lower surface of the building is 4.5 meters, and the entrance to the minaret is located on the western side of the stone base.
We climb 99 spiral stairs to the roof of the minaret.
The stone and plaster architecture, along with thick walls in the minaret’s courtyard, indicates the presence of facilities such as a mosque, a caravanserai, etc. around the building.
