Qaisariyeh Bazaar
Architecture:
Qaisariyeh Bazaar starts from the main entrance of the bazaar and extends north to Dar Al-Shifa Bazaar.
It contains many places inside, each of which has the characteristics and architecture of the Safavid era.
The entrance to the bazaar is an old wooden door that opens into the bazaar.
The Qeysariyeh gate, which has a special beauty, has numerous images.
Above the gate are paintings of the wars and conquests of Shah Abbas I with the Uzbeks.
The left side shows Shah Abbas hunting and the opposite side shows the Europeans residing in the Safavid court.
At the highest part of the Qeysariyeh gate, there is an image of a mosaic tile.
This image is the bust of a young archer in Safavid clothing.
The archer is on the head of a lion or tiger and shoots an arrow at the dragon that is the tail of the animal.
This image represents the constellation of the historical horoscope of Isfahan (Archer).
Historians believe that the city of Isfahan was founded in this tower. And today it is known as the symbol of the city of Isfahan.
Above the porch above the entrance, there is a large clock (from the spoils of war of Shah Abbas in the war with the Portuguese).
There is a border of blue-painted tiles on three sides of the entrance, which tells us about the repairs of the Qajar era.
On the sides of the entrance hall, there are two covered porches (Naqare Khaneh). Today, it has been converted into a small gallery and museum.
Qaysarieh Bazaar
Qaysarieh Bazaar has been one of the largest and most important traditional bazaars in Iranian cities since ancient times. In Isfahan, this bazaar is still one of the most prosperous and economically active parts of the old bazaar.
