Ray Shahr Bushehr

Rey Shahr is one of the most important beaches in Bushehr, located along Rey Shahr Street towards the sea. Rey Shahr Beach Park was registered in the list of national monuments of Iran in 1310.

Rey Shahr is approximately 18 meters above sea level and to reach this sandy beach, one must go down the stairs.

Introduction:
Eight kilometers south of Bushehr, there is an ancient area near the coast called Rey Shahr; where the Elamites once ruled and now only the earthen lands and historical monuments represent it. Rey Shahr Beach Park, located in the south of Bushehr, has a very ancient history.

The name Rey Shahr is an abbreviation of “Rey and Ardeshir”. Ardeshir Babakan founded many cities during his reign, of which Rey and Ardeshir was one of them, and it can be said that it was a reconstruction of the city of Lian. This city was considered one of the most important scientific and literary centers during the Sassanid period. The city was originally named Lian, meaning the land of the shining sun.
