Shiraz Valley, Khorramabad

Shiraz Valley is located 86 km from Khorramabad and 50 km from Kohdasht and is one of the natural attractions of Lorestan in the heart of the Zagros Mountains.

Introduction:
Shiraz Valley is a gorge that is located at the intersection of three provinces of Lorestan, Ilam and Kermanshah and also next to the Seymareh River.

This gorge is 5 km long and the river that passes through it joins the Seymareh River.
Fish – especially trout – are abundant in this river.
So if you are interested in fishing, be sure to bring the necessary equipment.
Walls with a height of 150 to 200 meters cover the valley.
Small and large springs and a waterfall called Shiraz are also located in this valley.
The topographic environment of this place consists of high mountains and deep valleys with sharp rocks.
The erosion of mountain rocks, pristine forest vegetation, clear water, and wild fruits have created a wondrous region.
Traces of cave life have also been found in the ancient sites of this gorge.
There is also a pillar 80 meters high and 10 meters in diameter in the middle of the valley, known as the Stone Minaret.
Erosion that has occurred over millions of years has created this pillar.
At the end of the gorge, you reach the Pol-e-Khoda cave, which is 150 meters long and has a river running through it.
The climate of the region is temperate in the first half of the year and cold and mountainous in the second half of the year.
Therefore, the best time to travel to Shiraz Valley is spring and summer.
