Architecture of the tomb:
The previous building of the Mausoleum of Abu Ali Sina was built during the Qajar period.
This tomb was built on the orders of a daughter named Negar, the granddaughter of Fath Ali Shah Qajar.
The preparations for the construction of the current building were made in 1322.
Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi personally provided one hundred thousand tomans for the construction of the tomb.
The design of the tomb was adapted by engineer Houshang Seyhoun from the oldest historical Islamic building, the Gonbad Qaboos Tower in the city of Gonbad Qavos.
The tomb building is a combination of two architectural styles of ancient Iran and post-Islamic Iran.

The southern hall of the tomb is designated as a museum where coins, pottery, bronze, and other discovered objects from the millennia BC and the Islamic era are kept.
The northern hall houses a library containing 8,000 volumes of books and pavilions related to the works of Abu Ali Sina and Hamadani poets and writers.

Is the tomb of Abu Ali Sina
a real tomb in Hamadan or Isfahan?
Despite various speculations that Ibn Sina is buried in Isfahan, there is nothing else about this famous scientist in Isfahan except the name of a street and a school.
Some historians, such as Ibn Athir, have introduced Isfahan as the main burial place of Abu Ali Sina.
However, the public relations officer of the Abu Ali Sina Foundation in Hamedan strongly rejected the idea that the sheikh was buried in Isfahan.
