Toos Museum of Mashhad
History:
The Toos Museum building was initially designed by engineer Houshang Seyhoun in 1964 for use as a teahouse and restaurant and was built in 1968.

In Ordibehesht, 2003, the Cultural Heritage Organization decided to renovate the building.

Then its use was changed to a place to display historical artifacts related to the Shahnameh.

Finally, in 2005, the current museum building was reopened.

The exterior of the building is inspired by Achaemenid architecture and includes elements such as columns and capitals.
These elements introduce the thoughts and personality of the sage Ferdowsi, with poems written by him on the four sides of the building.
The interior facade, inspired by the Parthian period, has 20 marble columns at the bottom and 8 columns at the top.
The interior ceiling is covered with mosaic tiles and decorative elements from the Achaemenid and Ferdowsi eras.
This ceiling is made in a hollowed-out manner.
The interior walls are covered in white and are covered with brick facades.
Green tiles are used to decorate parts of the walls and display windows.
White travertine stone is used for the floor of the building, and yellow stone is used to display the plan lines.
