Imamzadeh Darb Imam Isfahan

The historical monument of Imamzadeh Darb Imam in Isfahan is the burial place of two Imamzadehs named Ibrahim, a descendant of Imam Hassan Mujtaba (AS) and Zayn al-Abidin, a descendant of Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS).

Introduction:
Location: Ibn Sina Street – Sonbolistan Neighborhood – Darb Imam Alley
Date: 9th century AH during the reign of Jahanshah Qaraquyunlu
Another name: Imamzadeh Masti; because pilgrims believe that by distributing bread and yogurt among the pilgrims, they will be relieved of their needs.
Architecture and Decorations:
The Imamzadeh site has two domes.
A large dome was built in 857 by Jahanshah Qaraquyunlu and has an inscription of verses from the Quran on it.
The other dome is smaller and was built during the reign of Shah Sultan Hussein Safavi in 1081.
The beautiful tiles, the stucco molding of the western porches, and the train tracks are among the architectural masterpieces of this Imamzadeh.
The exterior of the tomb also has eye-catching mogharnas and harmonious mosaic tiles.
The wooden shrine, the carved arches, and the unique mogharnas, along with the blue motifs on a beautiful white background, dazzle the eyes of every viewer.
The northern entrance of the Imamzadeh, Darb Imam, was built during the Qaraquyunlu and Safavid periods.
This doorway is decorated with mosaic tiles and an inscription in white Thuluth script on a beautiful blue background is carved on it.
To the east of this doorway, another doorway from the time of Shah Sultan Hussein Safavi remains.
An inscription in the handwriting of Mohammad Reza Emami and another calligrapher named Abdol Rahim are carved on this doorway, indicating that the tomb was renovated during this time.
