Introduction:
The Ramsar Ivory Museum is located next to the Marble Palace and the old Ramsar Hotel.
This complex is the only museum that houses many works from all elephant habitats.
These works are about 300 raw and carved works, which include various sculptures and carvings by artists from East and Southeast Asia and parts of Africa.
Of course, the museum’s objects are not limited to elephant ivory, yes, chairs made of elephant and rhinoceros feet and chandeliers made of deer antlers are also seen in this museum.
The value of these works was estimated at more than 300 billion tomans in 2016.
The age of these works has been announced between 100 and 300 years.
The halls of this museum are named as the Elephant Room, Weapons, Decorations, Human and Non-Human Figures.

History:
The construction of the Ivory Museum dates back to the time of the first Pahlavi dynasty.
During the reign of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, this building was dedicated to his mother Taj-ul-Muluk.
After the revolution, this building, like other parts of the palace, was given to the Mostazafan Foundation.
In 1379, with the reopening of the Marble Palace, this building also began its activities as a museum.
But since 1395, it has become a dedicated ivory museum.

Architecture:
This building has two floors with a high ceiling and narrow windows that accommodate 9 halls.
The palace was built on a land area of about 4 thousand square meters and a substructure of 578 square meters.
The location of the palace is such that it overlooks the sea and the forest.
The stucco moldings on the ceiling and walls and luxurious chandeliers are among the decorations used in the building.
